The elevated tee at the par 3 17th offers a panoramic view that takes in
much of the golf course. The large, flat (by our
standards) green is surrounded on two sides by water. Obviously, long or
left is no good, but bailing out to the right is no easy up and down either.
This view from the adjacent 16th fairway shows a side view of the 17th green and the watery grave that waits if you miss too far left.
From behind #18 green, this view is looking across the lake toward #17 green. The #17 tee is at the top of the hill.

From across the lake near #18 tee you can get a better feel for the extreme elevation drop that takes place on this hole.
