The old drain had become clogged with dirt and clay and was no longer
picking up water. The new drain will be covered with a mesh
fabric that will prevent dirt from clogging the intake holes. |

Alex finds something humorous as he and Kevin (Kelly?) prepare the
new drain tile for installation. |

With the intake drains in place, it is a matter of setting them to the
proper depth and covering them up. Notice that the ends are
capped off to prevent material from getting into the drains |

Using a shovel to hold the drain in place, Alex heads to the tractor
to bring in a load of pea gravel. |

The drain is first covered with several inches of pea gravel.
This will prevent sand and dirt from infiltrating the drain and
closing off the intakes. |

After being covered with several inches of pea gravel, new sand will
be brought in to bring the bunker back to its proper depth. |
